As a valued and respected client, your well being is something I take deeply into consideration which is why I want to encourage you to come and see me regularly to maintain your well being. The benefits of regular body work are so beneficial and to work this into your weekly, fortnightly, monthly, tri-annual routine will far outweigh the cons of denying yourself this deep nurturing. It is called prevention and maintenance of well being for a reason. I know this all full well how beneficial physical, emotional, mental and spiritual maintenance that this service I provide can offer hence making a point of receiving regularly myself.
The regular practice of receiving body work ensures that you will continue to feel healthier, happier & have a much higher chance of remaining clarity, overall wellbeing and the ability to ‘MASTER’ life from a position of presence, calmness and deeper state of balance.

KaHuna Massage and Bodywork
What is KaHuna bodywork?
KaHuna Bodywork originated in the South Pacific and was used during Rites of Passage as a transformational massage and healing system. It is also known as Hawaiian Temple Style massage and Lomi Lomi. This modality in no way, provides any sexual acts or relief though can open up the pathways to balance through a whole body approach, mind, body and metaphysical.
This beautiful form of bodywork provides a holistic approach to health and wellness to aid in harmonising and balancing the body-mind in its physical, emotional and spiritual dimensions.
KaHuna Bodywork is unique in several ways. Melanie uses her hands, forearms and elbows and moves around the table (using flowing rhythmic Hula and Tai Chi style movements). I work with energy to apply soft and deep tissue massage. Music is played and Melanie attunes to the flow of the massage to harmonise the various rhythms within your body, mind and subtle energetic body. These rhythms mimic the elements of Earth, Air, Water and Fire. A focus of breath, voice and sound is used throughout the session and strongly encouraged by the receiver. As when you allow yourself to surrender, open and be vulnerable, the deeper the healing or more profound the experience is.
It provides a passage that can bring forth an awareness within you that broadens your understanding of yourself. Bringing you healing on all levels that is deeply therapeutic, and relaxing at the same time.
All sessions include a provisional consult (check in), to ascertain the specific needs of each individual and may also include an end-of-session consult.
One hour sessions are only available to regular clients who come on a weekly/fortnightly basis and packages can be provided in such cases. Inquire with Melanie to be advised on what is available and to discuss the best plan/package for you.
How long are your massages?
The sessions are either 1 hour (applicable to longstanding regular clients for weekly/fortnightly sessions)
90 minute bookings are preferred or 2 hourly. As I invest a significant amount of time prior and post sessions, in getting the space ready for you.
You may also like to discuss opportunities to combine a few of my service offerings and see if we can tailor a package best suited for you.
How old is Kahuna massage?
KaHuna Bodywork is a style that was developed in Hawaii by Kahu Abraham Kawai’i, the Kahuna who developed this style of bodywork in the 80s. He came to visit and teach in Australia for the first time in March 1998, at the old Mount Warning Lodge. Then the ‘massage’ was part of Kahuna training, one of the modalities Kahu used to teach people is Kahuna perspectives.
Your body is a temple and KaHuna bodywork is a modality with Ancient principles that teaches and allows you to experience as such.
