PRENATAL BELLY ART
Most women only have the blessing of pregnancy once or twice in their lives. There is no better way to mark this time as being one of the most unique and astonishing ways for you to honour this new life that you are growing and nurturing.
A pregnant belly painting can be created to embrace what you wish to convey of your own essence.
What is meaningful to you?
Your baby bump is your personal canvas to reflect your taste.
Or be open and allow yourself the delight of surprise, with a design the artist, (ME) can create for you.
You may choose to have your belly painted so as to be an announcement of your pregnancy or baby’s introduction and name reveal, (PINK OR BLUE).
Express this with a design that is reflecting your choice of colour.
You may wish to coordinate the design (to be an art piece) that matches the décore of the Nursery and have the photo printed to canvas.
Keep it as an heirloom, sacred to you and your family! It is a keepsake and a bucket list experience.
It may be a photo timeline for the baby album.
How about giving a voucher as a gift to your pregnant friend or relative?
Centre this around a mother/baby ceremony.
What better way, than to watch a beautiful piece of artwork be created on you at your baby shower?
Everyone could pitch in a small amount each to give to her as a collective gift.
Vouchers are available also.
Brisbane-based studio location, though can travel for additional fee.
Photographs included or supply your own photographer or videographer to commemorate your experience.
The fees per package cover one design draw-up, creation of the design on the belly at the booking and include photographs.
Below is additional information regarding fees and bookings:
ONE: Simple belly designs – are eg’s of cute animals/Cartoon/animated characters, (my favourite) a bright Mandala, flower design, banner/bows with message or baby name.
TWO: Detailed Designs – Include a lot more detail and go well into the second hour of creating a mini-masterpiece.
THREE: Intricate Designs – This can include the complete torso or a very detailed design.
Once this is decided upon, the artist will design what you are after or give you a surprise design. The design only covers the area of the belly bump only.
PLEASE NOTE: ONE DESIGN DRAW-UP IS INCLUDED WITH EACH OPTION. IF MORE THAN ONE DESIGN DRAW-UP IS REQUIRED, THEN THIS WILL INCLUDE AN ADDITIONAL HOURLY RATE – $120) PER SUBSEQUENT CHANGE WHICH WILL BE INVOICED ACCORDINGLY.
Clothing required would be; pants, a skirt or a sarong, that sits comfortably under the lower belly/bottom half, and a bikini top, rolled-up singlet, boob tube, scarf or crop top that easily exposes the belly to be painted on. Block colours of garments such as black or white work the best as opposed to a patterned material.
If it is for a baby shower/blessing way, I do like to begin before the guests are scheduled to arrive, so mum-to-be feels comfortable and relaxed and not so exposed. It also gives the added wow factor as her guests arrive, as well as her feeling of being pampered/in the limelight/special but without her belly out there uncovered and bare for all to see. Unless she is totally comfortable with that. The focus is more on the specialty of having the artwork embellish her belly.
Once the artwork is complete, the mother-to-be can mingle with her guests, and show off her belly while I pack up my gear and set up an area to take some photos that can be used for an album, a wall canvas in the baby nursery, or as an heirloom keepsake etc. The guests may even like to have photos taken with the special lady.
All artwork created is original, though I am very open to inspiration ie. The theme of the nursery, the use of specific colours, introducing the baby’s name or gender, or any particular choice of the mother-to-be/parents can be implemented into a design.
