For days I had been itching to get out the paints and create something without an agenda. I do love to paint portraits and like to do so as a meditation. This painting was with no agenda but to paint and be creative.
As you can see, I didn’t even begin with a sketch. I just started. There was no preconceived image in my head or minds eye, it literally just evolves as I paint.
Yesterday, I showed a friend the finished piece and she said that my painting actually looked like someone she had seen on TV the night before. This has actually occurred on a number of occasions, where an image of someone will come through that correlates to a person that I will encounter or a person that someone I know, knows.
I am so happy to have taken the time to create. It is so intriguing to see what comes through on the page.
